Deeson.

Deeson was a digital agency known for its deep engineering talent and open-source credentials, especially in the Drupal space.

I joined to build out the UX function and, over five years, helped transform Deeson into a design-led agency by expanding capabilities, improving delivery, and helping secure a multi-million pound acquisition.

In short …

• Established UX as a core discipline: Created scalable processes, grew the team, and elevated the role of design in delivery and sales.
• Increased revenue from design: Grew average project value from <£1k to ˜£50k, and sold the agency's largest design engagement at £250k+.
• Built and led a high-performing team: Hired and developed a team of 6 across UX, visual design, and research — including launching a graduate programme.
• Drove agency-wide impact: Sat on the senior leadership team, helped run day-to-day operations and shape growth strategy up to acquisition.
